Jewelry Care

Speculum Imago jewelry is made to be worn with attention. Gentle care will help preserve the surface, structure, and feeling of each piece.

Daily Wear

  • Remove jewelry before bathing, swimming, exercising, or sleeping.
  • Avoid direct contact with perfume, lotion, cosmetics, alcohol, chlorine, and household chemicals.
  • Put jewelry on after cosmetics and fragrance have dried, and remove it before applying skincare or hair products.

Storage

  • Store each piece separately in a soft pouch or lined box to reduce scratching and tangling.
  • Keep jewelry in a cool, dry place away from prolonged sunlight and humidity.
  • Do not store jewelry in bathrooms or other damp areas for extended periods.

Cleaning

  • Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth after wear.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners, ultrasonic machines, or polishing compounds unless advised for the specific material.
  • If deeper cleaning is needed, contact Client Care before using water, soap, or commercial cleaning products.

Natural Materials

  • Natural stones and beads may vary in color, texture, and markings.
  • These variations are part of the character of the material, not defects.
  • Natural materials can be sensitive to impact, heat, moisture, and sudden temperature changes.

Metal Components

  • Metal surfaces may naturally change over time with wear, air exposure, skin chemistry, and environment.
  • Gently wiping the piece after wear helps slow visible buildup and keeps the surface clear.
